Never have truer words been spoken.  There are many legends as to where these words came from, but they were certainly enhanced by Abraham Lincoln in 1895.

When things are bad, remember:

It won't always be this way.

Take one day at a time.

When things are good, remember:

It won't always be this way.

Enjoy every moment.

So, how do we take one day at a time and always look on the bright side of life?

  1. If you have any money at the end of this, there are going to be some incredible bargains out there.  You may invest in the stock market, find an investment property, or just buys some toys you wanted for a long time.
  2. If you don't have money at the end of this...make some.  It is a great opportunity to pare down on clutter and simplify your life.  Off-load anything you don't need.  Have a garage sale, put it on E-Bay, take equity from your property or move to something less expensive.
  3. Protect you credit.  Your number is more important than your name.  Credit affects everything, so try to move any debt to low interest credit cards and consolidate as much as possible.
  4. Don't be ashamed to beg and borrow (from the government).  The programs are out there and intended for EVERY US citizen and business.  Look at every opportunity.  If yo don't ask, you won't receive.
  5. Use the downtime to improve skills and knowledge.  Take online classes, read books, or watch videos to enhance your sales, communication or marketing talents.  You will be more employable or boost your business in "LAC"...Life After COVID.
  6. Re-evaluate life.  We all get trapped on the hamster wheel and don't know where we are going.  What do you want in life and why are you here?  Is it what you were doing before COVID or is it time for an adjustment?  Job, time allocation, relationships, accommodations, travel, finances....What can you amend to make YOUR world a better place?
  7. At the very least, give yourself something to look forward to.  Maybe visit a loved one you haven't seen in a while.  We all need a goal, purpose or a rainbow to chase.

Keep your chin up, spirits high, work hard, stay focused...and "THIS TOO SHALL PASS".
